SCOTT ALLEN JOHNSON
For more than twenty-five years, Scott has helped people follow Jesus, grow in character, carry responsibility, and help others do the same.
He believes disciples are formed through more than information. They are formed as the truth of Jesus is practiced in relationships, tested under pressure, and faithfully carried into everyday life.
PASTOR
Scott serves as the Aynor Campus Pastor of The Rock Church, where he preaches, develops leaders, and helps people take meaningful steps of faith.
AUTHOR
Scott is the author of Shepherd: Becoming a Leader Worth Following, its companion Shepherd Field Guide, and the daily journal Set the Tone. He also writes regular essays on faith, formation, relationships, and leadership.
DISCIPLE-MAKER
Scott also serves as Executive Director of The Corban Collective, a Christian discipleship strategy that moves men from isolation toward multiplication as disciples of Jesus.
A LIFE SHAPED IN RELATIONSHIP
Scott began serving in ministry at seventeen and was entrusted with his first pastoral responsibilities while still a young man. Since then, his life has unfolded in the places where faith becomes tangible: local churches, living rooms, leadership tables, hospital corridors, early morning runs, campfires, and miles of trail through wild country.
Across those environments, he has returned to the same questions:
What helps a person remain faithful?
How is trust earned?
What makes a leader worth following?
How do ordinary people become capable of carrying responsibility for others?
Those questions shape how he pastors, leads, makes disciples, and writes.

Rugged Wisdom is Scott’s writing and speaking platform for field-tested truth about faith, leadership, relationships, and personal formation.
The name reflects the kind of wisdom Scott values. Not polished theories kept safely indoors, but truth tested under pressure, practiced over time, and proven useful in the places where real life becomes difficult.
These are reflections for people who want their lives to count and who understand that becoming trustworthy requires more than good intentions.
